The Runners-up

My name is Jayde I'm a 25 year old female vocalist from Cardiff. Over the years I have been in function bands, original bands and gigged as a soloist around Wales and London trying to get a lucky brake into the music industry.

I spent a lot of my time in a band based in London and for over three years I gained experience of performing, writing and recording original material.

I am now a soloist looking for the opportunity to perform and do what I love most and I feel this could be a great platform to achieving this. I have attached an original song that shows the style and type of artist that I wish to be. I hope you like it!!

Fire Fences

Fire Fences

Formed in Bridgend, South Wales in 2013, Fire Fences – one of Wales’ most promising and exciting young indie outfits – have had an extraordinary few years.

Shortly after the release of their debut EP Roses From Dust the band was invited out to Los Angeles in October last year to record with producer Sejo Navajas and Jose Alcantar (Interscope Records) at 4th Street recording studio in Santa Monica, CA. While in California the band were also invited to perform a one-off sold out show at the Los Angeles’ legendary Viper Room.

Selected as one of ten specially chosen acts by The Forte Project 2016, a scheme that both recognises and assists in the development of the best in new music emerging from South Wales, the band are currently showing no signs of slowing.

The Famous Company

The UK’s largest artist development company. They’re a switched-on, lively bunch of A&R managers and creatives providing talented artists with everything they need to get ahead in the music industry, affordably and accessibly. With more years’ experience than they can count on both hands and some heavyweight awards under their belts, it’s safe to say the music world is in their veins and they know a good bit about it.

They’re passionate about developing the future of the UK music industry, and understand just how tough it can be to succeed in this increasingly competitive market (especially with labels spending less and less on A&R). At Famous, they don’t believe that great artists should have to compromise their creative freedom, sign their lives away or sell body organs to maximise their potential in the music game. Which is exactly why they’ve pioneered something special. Their unique UK-wide artist development hubs are designed with one simple ethos: to take great talent further.
